Fishing Warming Up In Otter Tail Lakes Country
Fishing Report

Fishing still continues to be good, the warmer temps have been welcomed to diminish the snow on the lakes. With continued warm weather, look for travel to become a little easier yet. Getting to areas have become easier, plus you don’t have to carry all your gear!
Lakes have really been producing numbers of fish. Little amounts of pressure in areas has created great fishing for mobile fishing. Look for fish being stacked up on most of those flats and transition areas. Weed lines have been a good area to focus on as well. Focus on the 25-35 ft range, with moving on top of the flats towards the evening hours.
Rapala Rippin Raps have been a great bait to call in those aggressive fish. When those fish seem to be able to be pulled off the bottom and hit, I usually use the fast approach to make those fish commit. When fishing slows or the fish seem to be lookers, slow your presentation down. Northland Buckshot spoons with glow is a great lure, tipped with a minnow head.
Fishing will continue to be good throughout the season. Finding the schools of fish and being mobile will help catch more fish. Travel will continue to get better with forecasted warmer temps.
