More than sixty five percent of this funding will support educational opportunities for children, families, and communities in greater Minnesota. MHC is finalizing contracts with each awardee.
MHC received 14 total applications and $3,864,000 in requests for proposed projects. Eighty percent of applicants requested at least $150,000, reflecting the cultural, educational and economic importance of Children’s Museums across the state. This is the highest number of applications and largest amount of funding requests by Children’s Museums in nearly fifteen years through MHC.
“MHC is proud to support these Children’s Museums within Minnesota that are fostering curiosity, building community and making an impact.”, stated MHC’s CEO, Kevin Lindsey. ” We also appreciate the wisdom of the legislature in supporting such key early learner educational institutions.”, Lindsey added.
