The Fall Bite is Near

Fishing has been really good this later half of the summer. Traditional methods of bottom bouncing in the normal places have been producing numbers of fish. Bottom Bouncing is a great way to cover some areas, find those schools of fish and target them for a few passes. Once you find those schools of walleyes at a depth, that depth stays pretty consistent for that time of day. So you can move on targeting that depth in different areas. Baitfish are really moving from day to day as well. Try and find areas that are holding those big bait balls and walleyes are not far behind.
Northland Tackle Butterfly Blades have been the choice of blades on the bottom bouncers. They spin at really slow speeds and also perform at faster speeds as well. Rapala Jigging Raps, Northland Puppet Minnows, have all been producing on those deeper humps. Again, locate these on those humps, but also take a peek off the edges as well.
Coming into these cooler nights, fishing is only going to get more consistent. The fall bite is very near now!
