Kaddatz Galleries Celebrates 15 year anniversary with group exhibition
Fergus Falls, MN- Kaddatz Galleries is delighted to unveil their 15 Year Anniversary Group Exhibition in the Main Gallery. scheduled to run from January 23, 2024, to March 2, 2024. Simultaneously, Studio K at Kaddatz Galleries will present Jess Schmidt. Ignite, a solo show opening on Thursday, January 11, and continuing until March 2, 2024, From 5:00-7:00PM. This celebratory event will offer complimentary refreshments and brief program at 6:00pm, featuring remarks from individual pivotal in preserving the historic Kaddatz Hotel Building and establishing Kaddatz Galleries as a nonprofit entity.
Central to our mission of ” maintaining a gallery that celebrates the work of area artists,” Kaddatz Galleries is thrilled to initiate their 15th Anniversary celebrations by presenting works that embody the abundant talent and creativity of our local and regional community. After meticulously evaluating over 250 artworks, Artistic Director Stacy Wendt has curated a captivating group exhibition showcasing 2D and 3D pieces by artist deeply rooted in our region.

The exhibition features a remarkable array of works by esteemed area artists, including Michael Aaness, Rebecca Albright, Jona Brown, Marlys Buchholtz-Pearson, Lisa Burns, Blayze Buseth, Charles Christianson, Kim Embretson, Jenny Field, Karla Gallagher, Tim Green, Ruth Hanson, Mitchel Hoffart, Kent Kapplinger, and Malcolm Thompson, Phena Keilm kandace Creel Falcon, Rebecca Krueger, Kristi Kuder, Mandy Magnuson-Hung, Maggie Mehan, Katy Olson, Karan Ouren, Vicky Radel, Dawn Rossbach, eric Santwire, Naomi RaMona Schliesman, Amy Schmidt, Less Skoropat, Kate Swenson, Bruce Thompson, Laura Vonbank, Michael Weatherly, Mary Williams, Carl Zaachmann, and Jeff Zachmann.
Also on display in Studio K from January 11th onward is IGNITE by emerging artist Jess Schmidt, currently based in Fargo, ND. This solo exhibition delves into the profound significance of authenticity, aiming to initiate conversations about the beauty of embracing one’s true self. Each piece within this collection serves as a contemplation, exploring various aspects of self-acceptance and joy. Through nurturing radical self-love, the artist endeavors to instigate a societal shift towards celebrating individuality and fostering discussions for those who conceal their authentic identities. “IGNITE” marks the initiation of this transformative journey towards embracing and honoring our genuine selves.

About Kaddatz Galleries
The Kaddatz Galleries is a not-for-profit organization that exists to foster visual arts education and appreciation and to maintain a gallery that celebrates the work of area artists and honors the legacy of Charles Beck. The Kaddatz is in downtown Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Its main gallery presents focused exhibitions and a rotating selection of work by regional artists. Studio K, the Kaddatz’s secondary gallery and community meeting space, displays smaller or more experimental bodies of work by established and emerging artists. There is never a charge to enter the galleries. Additionally, the Kaddatz regularly offers visual arts workshops and other educational opportunities to make art experiences accessible to diverse audiences and participants.
