Communities around here plan big to have a good time. As the saying goes, ‘the more, the merrier’. This couldn’t ring truer for these festivities. Ronald McDonald Ride & Great American Think-Off – June 11th.
Motorcycles and deep debate fill the city of New York Mills on Saturday June 11th.! Ride your cycle to fill out the Fun Run Passport or enjoy the music, burnout competition and other fun activities to help out the Ronald McDonald House. Coinciding is The Great American Think-Off presented by the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center. This event asks a challenging philosophical question meant to inspire thinkers from across the country to enter the debate. Essay winners participate in a live debate to ultimately answer the question, determined by audience vote. To learn more about the Great American Think-Off, click here.
Perham’s Turtle Fest – June 15th – 19th
The community of Perham, Mn celebrates Turtle Fest starts Wednesday June 15th with turtle races and finishes up on Sunday, June 19th with a breakfast downtown. Take in over 30 vendors on main street, with live music on Friday and Saturday, the grand parade, fireworks and more during the four days of turtle fun.
Pelican Rapids’ International Friendship Festival – June 18th
The Pelican Rapids International Friendship Festival brings a variety of people to this already diverse community. Celebrating diversity happens every day but is especially exciting during the festival where the goal is to bring people from diverse backgrounds together through music, food, and art. The festival will run from 11 am to 5 pm under the picnic shelter in Sherin Park, Pelican Rapids.
