Fishing Report 7-8-20
By Ross Hagemeister
Otter Tail Lakes Country is in constant motion! The water is warm, the fish are biting and the air feels great. True freedom indeed. It is evident that folks are not just rediscovering Minnesota and all of the lakes but they are really having fun. We are fortunate to have these great resources and to be able to enjoy them – during an otherwise dismal time.
If you want to get out on the lakes and fish, I recommend getting to the access early to beat the rush. When you come off the lake, be patient and wait your turn at the ramp. Simply allow more time to load and unload your boats. Also, in all the business and hustle, don’t forget to clean, drain and dry your watercraft. AIS can still spread during a pandemic. Please pay close attention to the horizon when you’re running from spot to spot; there are lots of folks on paddle board and kayaks, even in the middle of the lakes. Have fun, catch some fish and be safe. Happy Summer!
