NEW YORK MILLS, MN, February 2, 2023—The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center‘s 2023 Live Music Series kicks off with Corey Medina & Brothers in a much-anticipated return to New York Mills on Saturday, February 18th at 7:30 p.m. All are invited!
Corey Medina & Brothers (CMB) is a Blues-Rock band from Bemidji, Minnesota led by Diné Corey Medina, a Native American Blues Artist from Shiprock, NM.
Corey moved to Northern Minnesota in 2012 and spent a couple of years getting to know the community and music scene before debuting his first album “Old Dog Crying” in 2015. Corey now plays with his band known as “The Brothers” including Eric Sundeen on drums and Gary Broste on upright bass.
After three years of talking about a full-length studio album, in 2019 Corey and The Brothers released their debut full-length album, “Better Days.” Ironically, Better Days beget 2020 and it would be another three years before their sophomore effort “Soak” would be released.
Corey Medina & Brothers set out to spread light to dark, and hope to the hopeless with their raw, soulful, intimate music and stage presence. The concert at the Cultural Center on February 18 with include old favorites and new releases, all shared with their trademark energy and passion that always leaves concertgoers feeling like they were part of something unique and special. Adult tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door ($2 member discount); students $5. Cash bar and light refreshments available. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and music begins at 7:30.
