An associate’s degree from an accredited institution with four (4) years full-time experience as a licensed peace officer conducting felony level criminal investigations with a law enforcement agency-OR-A four-year degree from an accredited institution, plus one (1) or more years of full-time experience as a licensed peace officer conducting felony level criminal investigations with a law enforcement agency-OR-A four-year degree from an accredited institution, plus four (4) or more years as a licensed police officer, plus one (1) or more specialized skillset listed below:Specialized Skillset:+ Fluency in a foreign language+ Degree or certification in accounting or other closely related field.+ Degree or certification in a technology related specialty or computer science.+ Demonstrated advanced computer skill, including, but not limited to a degree in computer forensics, or one of the following certifications: EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE), Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), Global Information Assurance Certification Forensic Examiner (GCFE)+ Juris Doctorate DegreeAND2.) Applicants must be currently licensed as a Peace Officer in the State of Minnesota or be eligible to be licensed as a Peace Officer.3.) Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation, physical and psychological examination prior to hire.4.) Must reside within 35 miles of the assigned post.5.)
