Job Summary Telework*: This position is eligible for hybrid telework. Employees living within 50 miles of the office will be required to work in the office at least 50%of the time each month. Employees may reside outside the state of Minnesota if they live in a state bordering Minnesota and are within 50 miles of the primary work location. Existing employees who were approved to telework from a bordering state and more than 50 miles from their work location before June1, 2025, may retain this arrangement unless they move further away. This is an opportunity to work for a small agency that helps nonprofit organizations successfully use lawful gambling to raise money for their charitable purposes. The Minnesota Gambling Control Board regulates the $5.2 billion lawful gambling industry ensuring the integrity of charitable gambling operations and the lawful use of charities’ net profits. This Field Agent position reports directly to the Field Agent Supervisor and performs professional level, on-site compliance appraisals and evaluations of gambling licensees and their premises; will complete detailed reports providing analysis of gaming irregularities; receive, prioritize, and act upon referrals from agency staff and clientele; analyze, interpret and provide written and oral information and technical assistance to clientele regarding lawful gambling statutes, rules and procedures; will provide information for effective prosecutions and perform special tasks as assigned to assist in the regulation of lawful gambling. This position will have a state provided vehicle to travel the territory which includes the Northwest Counties of Minnesota. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications At least one (1) year of continuous work experience with primary responsibilities in accounting, law enforcement, public administration, regulatory compliance, financial investigations or a closely related regulation field requiring problem solving, accounting and analytics. Applicants who meet the above experience requirements will be further evaluated in the following areas: Ability to compare information against statutes, rules, or organizational requirements and assess compliance. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders with a customer service focus. Ability to prepare clear and concise field audit reports to correct, guide, and provide technical assistance and training. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively and timely with minimal supervision. Skill in word processing and spreadsheets, such as Microsoft Word , Excel and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of lawful gambling rules and regulations in the State of Minnesota. Knowledge of state lawful reporting requirements. Ability to apply, interpret and explain regulations (statutes, rules, policy, and procedures) to internal, agency and non-regulatory, external stakeholders. Ability to develop and present training materials and procedures to a variety of in person/classroom groups, up to 1-75+ people.
