Aaron Simmons Concert on Saturday, April 20
Original Country Music at the Culture Center
NEW YORK MILLS, MN, April 12, 2024—The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center’s 2024 Live Music Series continues with Nashville-based country artist Aaron Simmons, on Saturday, April 20th at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Join us in the Cultural Center’s intimate listening-room-style gallery space for this talented country artist with local roots. Once you attend a concert here, you won’t want to go anywhere else for live music!
Aaron Simmons hails from Stewartville, a small town in southeast Minnesota, and also has family ties in Wadena. Aaron is best known for his unique combination of high-energy stage presence and vulnerable songwriting. Nobody has more fun on stage, yet nobody is more in touch with the emotion his music conveys about love, loss, family, community, and chasing dreams.
Simmons has lived in Nashville since 2021 and is influenced by Chris Stapleton, Caitlyn Smith, Brothers Osborne, and Tenille Townes. Simmons is a seven-time nominee for awards in the Midwest Country Music Organization (including Male Vocalist in ’23 & ’22, Song in ’23 & ’22, Album in ’23, Music Video in ’22, and New Artist in ’21). His single “Soldier in a Frame” was selected as a semifinalist in the American Songwriter magazine’s “2023 Song of the Year” contest. Additionally, his single “Nobody’s Home in Wadena” held the #1 position on Spotify’s Local Pulse: Minneapolis chart for two consecutive weeks in August 2022. He has also opened for renowned acts such as Scotty McCreery, Parmalee, Easton Corbin, Restless Road, and Kat & Alex.
Adult tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door ($2 member discount); students $5. Cash bar and snacks available. You can buy tickets online or call the Cultural Center at 218-385-3339.
