More About Heart of the Lakes
The Heart of the Lakes Trail connects the cities of Perham and Pelican Rapids and Maplewood State Park. The trail provides direct access to several popular lakes including Little McDonald Lake and allows users to experience the breathtaking vistas along the Maplewood Ridge.
Trail Rules
Open to the public year-round. Non-motorized vehicles in the spring, summer and fall; snowmobiling is allowed on select portions of the trail in the winter months.
