Sunnybrook Stomp attracts more than 60 participants
More than 60 runners/walkers participated in Tri-County Health Care’s 37th annual Sunnybrook Stomp 5K on Saturday, June 23, at Sunnybrook Park in Wadena. Organized by TCHC’s Wellness Committee, the event kicked off with a 1K for kids, with seven youth participating, and concluded with the 5K.
The 5K course is a snapshot of Wadena that includes the park and industrial, health care and residential areas of the northeast side of the town.
Kenny Miller was the men’s top finisher with a time of 16:37, and Evelyn Aho was the women’s top finisher with a time of 26:18.
Age category winners included: ages 0-12 – Evelyn Aho (26:18), Preston Miller (23:33); ages 13-20 – Eve Collins (28:49), Joshua Tabery (19:35); ages 21-30 – Sarah Current (29:41); ages 31-40 – Shannon Hogan (26:33), Matt Cary (29:18); ages 41-50 – Jessica White (28:27), Kenny Miller (16:37); ages 51-plus – Pam Doebbeling (26:57), Lloyd Lanz (32:17).
