Wadena State Bank is a locally-owned, independent bank, chartered in 1917 by W.J. Browne. The location and name of the bank have changed over the years, but the Browne family legacy continues. J.M. Browne (Jack) purchased the bank his father in 1965 and held the position of President for thirty years. In 1995, Jack’s sons, C.J. Browne, and Jeffery A. Browne, purchased the bank and operated it jointly for 29 years. In 2024, Jeffery Browne became the sole owner of Wadena State Bank.
