We are located in Richville, MN, on beautiful unspoiled Dead Lake, in the heart of Otter Tail Lakes Country!

Our secluded 15 wooded acres and 550 feet of clean sugar sand beach make Sunset Bay a perfect getaway! Including our 2019 expansions we now offer 10 cabins that have fully equipped kitchens and private bathrooms, a total of 8 campsites (4 with electric and water, and 4 with electric water and sewer hookups) a spectacular swimming beach, our own boat launch, game room, fish cleaning house, guest laundry, small store, and shower house.

Want a fantastic beach, access to game room, stand up paddle boards, pedal boats, canoe, playground, horse shoe pits, fish cleaning house, and great fishing and recreation on the second largest lake in Otter Tail County?

If you answered yes to any of these questions , then Sunset Bay Resort is the place for your next lake vacation! In 2019, we expanded by adding our “House on The Hill” a cabin with all the comforts of home that sleeps 8 in the base rate (up to 16 with extra person charges). It has it all, plus it is newly furnished and decorated for your vacation needs. Your large family or group can all vacation under one roof while enjoying all the comforts of a full two story, 3 bedroom (plus a bunk room)/3 bathroom home!

Plus, in 2019 Sunset Bay Resort added 4 new campsites.  One of these will house a new fully furnished 1 bedroom/1 bath “Cozy Cabin”. We feel this, park model type cabin will be the perfect option for couples and young families that wish to experience a lake vacation, but not pay for space they do not need. It will also be great for you and a friend to spend time fishing, antiquing, shopping or just relaxing with all the amenities of home. Priced lower than you can rent a hotel room for in most cases, but with all the benefits and amenities offered at the resort!

Finally, another one of the new sites will be occupied by our travel trailer ,which is fully furnished and available for those who want to experience a lake vacation without having to invest thousands in a recreational vehicle of their own. This option is also great for young families as the travel trailer occupies 4 in the base rate and is our least expensive rental option where we provide the roof over your head!

Never been to a Minnesota resort before? This is a great way to experience it all at a fraction of the cost for the whole family! As your family and needs grow, move up to one of our many cabin options. The remaining two new campsites which include water, sewer and electrical hookups are available for non-seasonal rentals of 2 or more nights for travel trailers, 5th wheels and motorhomes.
