A space for Battle Lake to gather since 2008.
The Lakes Area Community Center (LACC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization started in April of 2008 to establish a community center for the benefit of the people of the greater Battle Lake area.
In January 2022, due to the ongoing maintenance and cost of the building at 112 W Main Street, the LACC decided that the best way to move forward and continue operations was to sell the space that they’ve called home. The LACC is creating a brand new community space within the Hatchery Row development, located in downtown Battle Lake. The board believes that this move will help us continue the mission of creating space for our community members and visitors to celebrate, learn, and grow together.
We will also continue to serve our community through events such as summer turtle races, coordinating the Wenonga Days events and the Jack-o-Lantern Jubilee. We will also continue our business promotional events with the “Hunt is On” and “Hop into Spring” incentives to help our local businesses thrive during the off season.
