More About Central Park
Central Park is located in the heart of New York Mills along Centennial 84 Drive, just off of US Highway 10, taking either the east or west exit into town. A point of interest is the Continental Divide monument, showing the location of the city upon the continental divide, and the display of the flags of seven nations which have flown over the land. Also part of Central Park is a picnic shelter, a water fountain, and benches where you may rest and enjoy the beautiful flower garden. Many summer activities happen at Central Park, including the annual Fish Fry with vendors, Boatville Drag Races, Lund Mania Fishing Tournament Awards Ceremony and other Summer Celebration events. The Cultural Center hosts Art in Your Park events at Central Park as well as the other City parks in town during the summer months. See their website (http://www.kulcher.org) for dates and times. During the summer and fall months, take in the Farmer’s Market, which is held on Wednesdays and most Saturdays at the park.
