Join us as we kick off 150 years of Otter Tail County in a big way! The celebration will be held Saturday, Feb. 3 and Sunday, Feb. 4 on Otter Tail Lake.
What is Otter Tail Co.-ON ICE?
OTC-ON ICE! is a celebration of being Minnesotan. There will be food vendors and outdoor recreation starting the morning of Saturday, Feb. 3. Live music under the “BIG TENT” will begin at 6:00 pm that evening.
On Sunday, Feb 4th, join us for the world’s largest Super Bowl Party-ON ICE! There will be food, fun & plenty of cheer.
Is this a fishing contest?
No. While attendees are encouraged to bring their fish houses & set up camp for the weekend, there is no organized fishing tournament or derby. Fishing is allowed, but no prizes will be awarded. Still want a trophy? Check out these local fishing derbies:

How many bands will be there?
Three bands have been contracted for Saturday, Feb 3rd. Music will start at 6:00 pm. Stay tuned for band announcements.
Do I have to stay on the ice?
No. Area hotels/resorts will be happy to host you. Arrangements are currently being made to coordinate transportation onto the ice.
Is this family friendly?
YES! While adult beverages will be served, this is an event the whole family can enjoy.
What if the ice isn’t thick enough?
If the ice isn’t thick enough, the event will be held in the Thumper Pond parking lot.

Otter Tail County’s 150th Anniversary Signature Kickoff Event Announced The Otter Tail County Historical Society (OTCHS) and Otter Tail Lakes Country Association (OTLCA) are pleased to announce a signature event to kickoff the county’s 150th Anniversary. 2018 marks the 150th anniversary of Otter Tail County. According to OTCHS Executive Director, “This milestone provides an opportunity to reflect on our county’s past as well as celebrate our culture and future.” If the kickoff event is any indication, Otter Tail County is gearing up for one exciting sesquicentennial! The kickoff event, Otter Tail Co.-ON ICE!, is a celebration of everything Otter Tail County has to offer…on ice! Festivities will take place Feb 3rd & 4th, 2018 on Otter Tail Lake. OTC-ON ICE! coincides with Super Bowl weekend and will include food, beverages, outdoor activities, and live music on Saturday. Otter Tail County Historical Society Announces Sesquicentennial Micro-Grant Program
Otter Tail County Historical Society Announces Sesquicentennial Micro-Grant Program 2018 marks the 150th anniversary of Otter Tail County. In honor of such, the Otter Tail County Historical Society is planning a yearlong series of community based programs, tours and exhibitions. In addition to several signature events, OTCHS has announced they will be sponsoring a Sesquicentennial Micro-Grant program. The purpose of the program is to provide small, one-time-only grants that engage in creative, short-term projects that benefit Otter Tail County citizens and communities and generate accomplishments people can take pride in. Grant proposals may range from $500 to $1,000. Grants will be awarded through a competitive process managed by the Otter Tail County Historical Board of Directors.
