How do I post my jobs on the site?
Thanks to our updates, you no longer need to post your openings directly to the job search portal. Jobs should be posted to external career boards or your company website. The new Otter Tail Lakes Country website scrapes all jobs from external sources and pulls them on the job search portal.
Where do the jobs get pulled from?
Positions get pulled from a number of sources, including external job posting sites, community boards, and internal company websites. If your company has jobs posted on your website but they are not showing up on the job search portal, contact Marie at Otter Tail Lakes Country Association.
Which jobs are included?
Any job types in Otter Tail County are included: full-time, part-time, internships, temp positions – all of these types of jobs and more can be found on our website.
What if my jobs aren't showing up on the portal?
Your jobs must be posted to an external website. If your jobs are posted on your company website in PDF files, they will not be able to be pulled into the portal. There must be a link or specific URL for the job posting.
Your post might also be missing because it has not been updated recently. Posts that are a year old or older are often a sign that the post was forgotten or was never taken down, therefore, older posts don’t get pulled onto the job search portal. If you have hiring needs for an evergreen position or are continually hiring for a position, update the post to help it get seen.

The Otter Tail Lakes Country Association job search portal is not an application system, so you cannot submit an application or resume directly through ottertaillakescountry.com. Rather, the OTLCA portal is a starting point that connects you to available jobs in the area and leads you to external sites where you can submit an application.
Do I need to sign up for anything to use the job search portal?
No sign-up required! The portal is open to anyone to use and does not require any registration or account sign-up. The website will walk you through a basic account creation process if you would like to receive scheduled email notifications about jobs of interest. This is not required to browse jobs.
How can I find a job in a specific industry?
In the jobs search bar, use a keyword specific to the industry you're searching in. Additionally you can use the Job Function filter to browse jobs under the predefined categories provided.
