Walk for Glendalough

Join in our Annual Fundraising Event, Walk for Glendalough! Enjoy the Free Pass Day at Glendalough State Park!

Register at the historic Lodge. Coffee and donuts in the morning and free lunch at noon. Awards and updates following lunch. Walk 2024 t-shirt with $50 donation. No park entrance fee.

Registration is from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Our guests participate in many ways, including walking, jogging, or biking our paved trails, hitching a ride for a tour around our lakes and native prairies, viewing the eagles nest with our Park Naturalist, or just visiting with friends in our historic lodge.

Coffee and donuts will be available at the Trail Center during the morning and lunch will be served at noon, followed by awards, door prizes, and updates about several exciting park developments.

The Walk for Glendalough has lead to many exciting projects and updates, thanks to the generous contributions and efforts from businesses, private donors, volunteers, and walk participants. All money raised for this event goes directly to park projects.

Since the Walk began in 1996, we have seen a steady growth to park visitor count. Last year saw an unprecedented increase in visitors to the park – 127,100, up from 85,000 in 2017 and 50,000 in 2013. We hope you have enjoyed the park’s features and improvements, especially this last year when so many have found the park to be a perfect place to visit to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful natural environment.
