Folk, Pop and Rock-N-Roll performance at NYM Cultural Center on September 28th, 2019
NEW YORK MILLS, MN, September 19, 2019 – The Cultural Center in New York Mills is pleased to present Chris Koza in concert on Saturday, September 28th at 7:30pm at the Cultural Center.
Chris Koza and his bandmates have toured internationally, bringing sound rich in Minnesota Music Culture far beyond its telltale border. Weaving together the threads of folk, rock-n-roll, pop, and even choral and classical influences, Chris embraces Americana music as inclusive of any genre rooted in traditions of storytelling, poetry, and strong songwriting.
Chris draws from his extensive catalog of original material both as a solo artists and his band Rogue Valley. His songs have wormed their way into millions of eardrums all across the world, having been featured in films and television such as Fox’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, ABC’s General Hospital, and MTV’s Jersey Shore. Chris and his bandmates have also performed in many of the beautiful theaters and stages throughout the state of Minnesota including Red Wing’s Sheldon Theater, St. Paul’s Fitzgerald Theater and the Historic Holmes Theater in Detroit Lakes.
Chris and his band deliver an energized live set exploring both artful nuance and raw potential. Featuring acoustic and electric guitars, electric bass, keys, drums, lush harmonies – and when possible – additional vocals and orchestration from students and musicians from local communities. In addition to Chris’ original music, his set also finds an opportunity or two to honor the great legacy of Minnesota musicians.
