Fair Hills October Newsletter
First, Weather!
October blessed us with excellent weather! We never saw the dreaded S-Word (it rhymes with blow). Shutting down the resort was more enjoyable than most years because we weren’t freezing our fingers and toes off from the get-go! That’s not to say that no one got a little cold, but overall, it was a pleasant shut-down without the big stress of a freeze. Water was turned off successfully across the entire resort. The housekeeping team bundled up the linens and supplies for winter storage. Cabins were painted in the warm fall sun. Docks and lake toys were removed and stored for the winter.

The fall colors were gorgeous as always, with the tree in front of #36, exceptionally grand! We, almost, wish we hosted business into October because it is such a beautiful time at the lake. One particular morning gave us a beautiful artistic frost. Check our our album of fall photos below!
Finally, we started to see some rain toward the end of the month. Grateful it was rain and not it’s more solid, and cold, cousin. We would gladly take another 100 of these Octobers, it was superb!
Fall Welcomes!
This fall we welcome two new members to the year round team!
Angela Tozzi
Resort Brand, Marketing & Sales Strategist
Angela started as an Events Intern for summer 2023 and returned for more events (& tennis!) in 2024. She is now our Strategist and the brains and muscle behind most of our social media presense. Angela hails from Maryland and she is looking forward to her first Minnesota winter!
Razvan Rasnoveanu
Marketing Intern & Photographer
Razvan started as a J-1 Work & Travel Participant in 2022 and quickly became an asset at Wildflower, which saw him return in 2023 and 2024. This year he is on a year-long internship, lending his skills to the marketing team and sharing his talents with us all year long. Razvan hails from Romania and hopes to travel around the country this winter!
And In Case You Missed It…
Last month’s newsletter cut off at the bottom for some readers, so in case you missed these two cuties, please allow us re-introduce them.
Llewyn Disse
Wildflower Mechanic Ty Disse and partner Kelly welcomed Llewyn in June. Isn’t he the cutest?!?
Ava Bohm
Wildflower Superintendent Reed Bohm and wife Emily welcomed miss Ava in July. Reed is one happy and glowing Dad.
Fun fact, Reed’s wife Emily is a nurse who works with Max Disse, Beth Schupp’s son-in-law (he married Carolyn.) Small world huh!
