Astera Health honored at UCare’s “A Salute to Excellence!” awards ceremony

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Oct. 25, 2023 – UCare held its 15th annual “A Salute to Excellence!” event Thursday evening, Sept. 21, at the Delta Hotels in northeast Minneapolis to recognize 21 clinics and care systems with top results in 2022 Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures – including preventive care, disease management, behavioral health, maternity care, care transitions, and medication management. Astera Health was honored for improving the health of UCare members enrolled in Medicare plans.
“Astera Health was recognized for being #1 in the state for our patients adhering to medication therapy for a hypertension diagnosis. This effort is a coordination between the patient, provider, nursing, and pharmacies to clearly and consistently display the importance of managing and controlling hypertension. It also showcases the impact of our patient-centered approach to care,” said Medley Shamp, Chief Ambulatory Officer at Astera Health.
This year’s “A Salute to Excellence!” evening was attended by more than 50 healthcare clinicians and staff.
