Spanky’s Stone Hearth – Rose Lake
When it comes to fine dining, there’s no place finer that Spanky’s Stone Hearth on beautiful Rose Lake near Vergas, MN. In addition to an impressive menu, they offer an extensive array of classic wines and featured cocktails to complement a locally sourced, Minnesota inspired menu. Owner Josh Hanson and his dedicated staff take pride in using locally grown and fresh ingredients, when available. They source local beef and pork for their charcoal grilled steaks and BBQ ribs and fresh seafood is flown in weekly. Whether you are sitting inside next to the the fireplace that was built in 1946 or outside on gorgeous deck the ambience is always exceptional and so is the food.
Zorbaz – Otter Tail Lake, Pelican Lake, Little Pine Lake
With three locations in Otter Tail County, Zorbaz might be the most recognizable lakeside dining in the area. They have a seat with a view on Otter Tail Lake, Pelican Lake and Little Pine. The menu at each spot is loaded with fun favorites including pizza and Mexican food. Most locations are open late, so you can enjoy a cold beverage and soak it all in till the wee hours. You might want to make a trip soon, as these are seasonal spots and they hibernate during the winter months.
Ten Mile Lake Resort & Steakhouse
Just south of I-94, near the town of Dalton, sits a steakhouse where the atmosphere will have you coming back for more. Ten Mile Lake Resort & Steakhouse offers hand cut steaks, broasted chicken, seafood and slow cooked ribs with homemade BBQ sauce. Friday and Saturday feature PRIME RIB (King and Queen Cut), with nightly specials on salads, sandwiches and burgers. Call 218-589-8845 to make a reservation (they are appreciated).
Galaxy Resort – Star Lake
Speaking of chicken, you have to stop by Galaxy Resort on Star Lake for broasted chicken that is out of this world! Docking space is available for patrons so you can spend the day fishing or playing on the water and come in for a meal with a view. No need to catch a limit of fish as they have wonderful walleye and other surf and turf dishes for your dining pleasure.
