Connie Lee Stitch To Perform At Phelps Mill Festival!
Phelps Mill Festival Coming Soon – Connie Lee Stich to Perform this Year!
Come join us at the 33rd annual Phelps Mill Festival. The Phelps Mill Festival is held annually on the 2nd weekend of July. This year’s festival will be July 8th and 9th. We provide two full days of art, food entertainment and kids’ activities. If you haven’t visited our festival in the past or it’s been awhile, this is the year to make your way to the Phelps Mill County Park just north of Underwood. You can fill your day with expanded kids’ activities and art projects; listening to our top-notch entertainment, shopping a wide variety of artist booths; and eating at a number of food booths.
Paint in the Park with Art Bar 39. Visit Art Bar 39’s booth anytime during the festival and for a nominal fee, you can paint your own original work of art. No experience needed!
The Festival features fine artist and crafters from around the USA. Each exhibitor is handpicked by a panel of jurors to ensure quality and originality for the show. From paintings and prints, to jewelry and apparel, to furniture and pottery, everyone will find something special to take home with them. For those that aren’t as interested in shopping, there’s still a lot going on! This year, Park Region Telephone/Otter Tail Telcom is providing free high speed internet.
Kids’ activities will be provided by Fergus Falls Bethlehem Lutheran Church. And for the whole family, find a place in the shade at the main stage and enjoy the entertainment, perfect for all ages.
At noon and 3:00 on Saturday, comic ventriloquist James Wedgwood is pleased to bring his outrageous characters and hilarious audience participation to this year’s festival. It’s a great opportunity to see the fascinating art of ventriloquism up close and who knows, you may even become part of the act! Come see why James truly is “Funnier Than Your Average Dummy!”
At 2:00 on Saturday, we’ll welcome one of our favorite local stars, Connie Lee Stitch. She may have grown up near the tiny town of Urbank and her stature may be on the shorter side, but there’s nothing small about Connie Lee Stich. When she steps her country-kicking cowboy boots on stage, the sound that resonates from within her five-foot, one-inch frame lets the audience know where her passion lies.
Sunday’s Community Service and music will be at 10:30 a.m. and provided by Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls. Performing at 12:45 on Sunday is Q5 Band. Performing for gatherings since 2007, The Q5 Band has entertained numerous crowds with their eclectic variety of musical selections from current rock, pop and country.
And don’t forget about the food! Phelps Mill Festival has several food vendors; fry bread, brats, pork chops, turkey legs, baked potatoes and root beer floats, just to name a few. All of the food vendors are local non-profit groups working towards fundraising, and making some delicious eats for everyone to enjoy.
