HOT fishing in lakes country!

It’s a hot start to the summer here in lakes country! Temps are soaring and so is the bite!
Eyeballs are mostly still shallow, but outside weed lines and mud are holding fish to. You can pretty much use any bait you’d like right now and fish just about any way you’d like! Jigs/minnows or spit shot rigs with leeches have been productive over newly forming weeds. Spinners, lindy’s and cranks have been shining in outside edges and steep breaks.
Crappies are still really shallow on some lakes but most have pulled out to new cabbage beds. Trolling / casting new weed beds is a great way to locate them.
There’s plenty of bass to catch but allot are still spawning/ guarding nests so try and release as many as possible.
You might want to wear your swimsuit when you hit the lake, you might have to take a dip to cool down! Bring lots of water, sunscreen, and plenty of bait!
