From a blizzard to balmy seventy degrees, this has been a weird start to fall. Water temps down into the forties, then climbs back up. This is an awesome week to be on the water, like a free week of beautiful weather before the cold temps hit. It even looks like in the future forecast a person might be pulling out the portable fish house soon.
Take advantage of this warmer weather to find some great winter fishing spots. Typically fish have found locations that will be great to put your ice house on after lakes freeze over. Also, putting the camera down can put you on key transition spots that make a big difference when placing the ice house. They can even make a big difference for a consistent bite for a longer period of time. Spots to look for are the rubble to mud, weed edges, small points or inside turns.
Fall is a very busy time for a sportsman. Torn between the bow stand, boat, waterfowl, or upland hunting. This weather has actually given the opportunity to try all those options. But, it seems like all these opportunities come at once. Whatever you may choose, there are awesome places that can help you in your sporting needs. Gene’s Sport Shop has you covered for a lot of your hunting and fishing needs. Ray’s Sports and Marine has your boat, ATV’s, snowmobiles, and adult toys covered. Don’t forget about your resorts that have places to rest after a hard day hunting and fishing. Or a place to stay while they guide you in the right direction while you hunt or fish. Vacationland Resort, Barkey’s Resort, and Bladow Beach are just a few to list! Stay Safe!
