Congressman Stauber Commends TCHC for Leadership
Eighth District Congressman Pete Stauber visited Tri-County Health Care in Wadena on July 13 as part of a gratitude tour. The tour was dedicated to recognizing local businesses for their service to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stauber commended Tri-County Health Care’s leadership in providing guidance to local school districts and businesses, and for its community masking initiative.
Tri-County Health Care has utilized expertise from its providers, technical staff, and infection prevention to help area school districts safely set up their daycare systems. It also worked closely with local businesses to make sure protective measures and safety practices were in place prior to reopening. Additionally, through the masking initiative, Tri-County Health Care is proud to have distributed over 10,000 free adult and children’s masks to health care workers and their families, regional congregate living facilities, and community members in Bertha, Henning, Ottertail, Sebeka, Verndale, and Wadena.
“I’m so impressed with this facility and the leadership roles you’re taking in the community,” Stauber said. “Helping our small businesses is critical and by giving them the opportunity to open up sooner, it helps them stay viable and open in the community.”
Stauber presented Tri-County Health Care and its entire staff with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for its outstanding and invaluable service to the community. Tri-County Health Care continues to work with Stauber and other policy makers to help drive conversation in Washington D.C. on the topics of rural health care and broadband.
“I appreciate your staff’s input on what we need to do and I’m very happy with the relationship we have built and continue to build,” Stauber said.
