We invite you to come #FindYourInnerOtter in the land of 1,048 lakes. Pelican Lake is 3,986 acres and has a maximum depth of 55 feet. It is located in the NW corner of Otter Tail County, MN. Ten miles north of Pelican Rapids & 45 miles east of Fargo, ND. This pic was taken just off County HWY 34 looking to the west. The southern portion of the lake (309 acres) is referred to as Fish Lake. Pelican Lake is connected to Little Pelican Lake and Lake Lizzie via the Pelican River. There are 2 public accesses on Pelican, the west one is located just off county HWY 9 and the east one is off Co. HWY 34. This lake is super popular amongst boaters, pontooners, and other water sport enthusiasts. If the weather is nice, some folks congregate on the water with their vessels to enjoy #lakelife in a group setting. If you are more into privacy, don’t worry, Pelican Lake is big enough for you to find a spot all for yourself. Pelican Lake is another great multi-species lake for anglers. There are walleyes, crappies, bluegills, northern pike, largemouth bass and smallmouth bass. It is also managed for muskies and is known to produce big muskies. One of the best ways to enjoy Pelican Lake is a stay at Fair Hills Resort on the lake’s north shore. Fair Hills is an all inclusive resort that offers golf, tennis, lessons, and tons of other activities on site. Wildflower Golf Course is just across the road so don’t forget your clubs when you visit. Lakes Inn at Dunvilla is less than a 10 minute drive from the west access and The Pelican Motel is about 15 minutes south. Maplewood State Park is close by too if you’d rather camp. #otterttailcounty #Minnesota #OnlyinMN #lakes #fishing #walleye #walleyefishing
