Volunteer opportunity in health care available to area teens
Tri-County Health Care is now accepting applications for VolunTeen, a volunteer program for area teenagers age 14 or older. Teenagers involved in this program will volunteer at Tri-County Health Care and give patients, visitors and staff a helping hand.
The VolunTeen program runs March 26 through May 4, and participants will volunteer for one shift per week for six weeks. They receive experience in the health care field by assisting nursing personnel and performing special duties in patient care.
The application deadline is Friday, March 9, and applications are available online at TCHC.org under the “Careers” tab.
A mandatory orientation for participants of VolunTeen will be held Tuesday, March 20, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. For more information, contact Ryan Damlo, Foundation executive director, at 218-631-8148.
