Tri-County Health Care Appoints two Chief Officers
WADENA, Minn. – Nov. 4, 2019 – Two current directors of Tri-County Health Care have been appointed to officer level positions within the organization. Tom Pint has been promoted to Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Jose Alba to Chief Ambulatory Officer (CAO).
The CNO and the CAO are members of Tri-County Health Care’s administrative leadership team and provide clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, high quality patient care. The CNO has direct responsibility for all inpatient care areas, lab, diagnostic imaging, emergency department/ready care, EMS, surgery, pharmacy. The CAO has direct responsibility for the Wadena clinic, care integration, rehab, and all satellite clinics.
Tom joined Tri-County Health Care two years ago moving to Wadena from Minneapolis. Tom earned his Bachelor of Science, Nursing and Bachelor of Science, Health Science from Minnesota State University, Mankato and his Master of Nursing Leadership and Management from the Metropolitan State University. Prior to joining Tri-County, Tom served in a variety of capacities for 15 years with Allina Health and six years with Hennepin County Medical Center, with a total of 23 years of nursing and progressive leadership experience in healthcare/nursing. Tom is married to his wife, Jenny, and has three adult children and a grandson and enjoys spending time outdoors, boating, hunting and relaxing by a bonfire.
Jose grew up in the Staples area and currently resides north of Wadena with his wife, Katie, and two children, Mia and Andre and his mother. He received his Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead and his Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in healthcare management from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND. Jose has worked for Tri-County for the past five years and in prior roles with Catholic Health Initiatives and Sanford Health. Jose is currently pursuing Fellow status through the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the boards for two local non-profits. He and his family enjoy traveling, competitive sports, going to concerts and relaxing on the lake with family and friends.
