Physician assistant joins TCHC ReadyCare team
Tri-County Health Care recently added Crystal Haskin, certified physician assistant, to its ReadyCare team in Wadena. Haskin specializes in family medicine.
Haskin graduated in 2014 from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and graduated in 2017 from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She is board certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Her admiration for rural health care began during an internship after high school. Before attending graduate school, she worked as a nursing assistant for five years and volunteered with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She loves that this field gives her the opportunity to promote healthy lifestyles and to help others through life’s many ups and downs.
A native of Verndale and graduate of Verndale High School, Haskin is grateful to come back to the area and looks forward to practicing medicine in a rural setting with supportive communities. In her spare time, she enjoy hunting, skiing, fishing and spending time with her family, friends and golden retriever, Jenny. Music is also a large part of her life, having played piano since age 7 and minoring in piano in college.
