Kaddatz Galleries Hosts La Valleur Salon Talks
Photojournalist Barbara La Valleur will lead two salons in connection with her photo exhibit Hola, Cuba! at The Kaddatz Galleries in Fergus Falls.
On Sat., April 22 the Battle Lake and Ashby native will present, “How I went from being a 15-year-old owner of a 1937 Chevy in Battle Lake to being an award winning international photojournalist in Germany.”
This salon will appeal to students of all ages interested in photography and art or a communications career, as well as mid-career people looking to expand income options, and anyone who appreciates great photography.
On Sat., May 6 La Valleur will present, “My 55-year journey as an International Photojournalist” and “Why I took the photos, how I choose the subject matter and the responsibilities of a photojournalist.”
La Valleur will offer easy-to-follow tips for improving family and vacation photographs whether using an iPhone or a Nikon. Participants are encouraged to bring up to three favorite photos for critique.
Both salons are 2-4 p.m. at the Kaddatz Galleries, 111 W Lincoln, Fergus Falls, MN and are free and open to the public. They are made possible in part by the voters of Minnesota through grants from Lake Region Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
