SUMMARY:Battle Lake Ice Fishing Derby
DESCRIPTION:The Battle Lake Area Sporting Club is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to bringing outdoor activities to our area youth. \nWe have been a contributor to youth Fishing Leagues and Trap Shooting teams. We sponsor the Youth 4-H Archery and contribute to multiple organizations supporting a variety of needs. We hold an annual ice fishing derby in order to raise funds for our organization. The fishing derby success is due to the many volunteer hours from our members and donations from area businesses. \nThe funds from this event are used for; The Battle Lake Area Sporting Club Kids Fishing Day\, Fishing League\, Trap Shooting Team and set funds aside to develop our facility. The next step in reaching our mission is to purchase land and build a facility to include a trap shooting range and archery range. \nThe facility will be available for area youth sporting programs; annual gun safety training\, ATV safety\, boat safety\, snowmobile safety\, Clean-In/Clean Out Stop the Spread of Aquatic Species training and many other programs. \nWe are requesting donations for our fishing derby and/or the purchase of land to complete our project. Any donations are greatly appreciated so we can continue to support our local youth and outdoor activities.
