Join Area Naturalist Dora\, on a 1.5-mile round-trip journey as we look back on the past year and look forward to the new.  Meet at the Picnic Shelter at 10 a.m. \nDress for the weather that day and in layers. The expected trail condition is compacted snow. If conditions allow\, feel free to bring your own snowshoes or rent them from the park office by calling the park at (218)560-5530. For more information about the First Day Hike contact Dora at (218)261-6904 or email at dora.obrien@state.mn.us. \nAll instruction is provided for free\, but a vehicle permit ($7 for a one-day permit or $35 for a year-round permit) is required to enter all Minnesota State Parks.
