Cultural Center Hosts Spring Fundraiser
Goodies Galore at Garden Party
Cultural Center Hosts Spring Fundraiser
The Cultural Center hosts the seventh annual Garden Party fundraiser in New York Mills on Thursday, May 3. All are invited to this fun art and spring themed event.
Festivities begin at 5:45 p.m. and continue until 8:15 p.m. Included in this evening is a brats, beans, and beer bash sponsored by the Mills Locker Plant and Mills Country Market. Invitees are asked to come hungry!
Event highlights include a live auction by Perala Brothers Auctioneers at 7:00 p.m. and the 3rd annual “Celebrate the Local” silent art auction. The silent auction is entirely comprised of artwork by local artists, with proceeds from each sale split between the artist and the Center. Silent auction art is on display in the Gallery at the Center starting Thursday, April 26. Interested persons are encouraged to come check out the artwork and bid early, or, if you find something you can’t live without, you will have the opportunity to “buy now!”
In addition to the two auctions at the party, attendees can partake in a plant grab, greenhouse goodie grab, game of Heads or Tails split the pot, and party bucket drawings! Party buckets are created by Center staff with donations from the community. Plants in the grab are also public donations. In the goodie grab, participants have a chance to win prizes donated by greenhouses and local businesses.
The silent auction closes at 8:00 p.m. and the party wraps up at 8:15 p.m. The party is open to all and free to attend.
