2018 Phelps Mill Festival set for July 14th & 15th
Come join us at the 34th annual Phelps Mill Festival. The Phelps Mill Festival is held annually on the 2nd weekend of July. This year’s festival will be July 14th and 15th. We provide two full days of art, food entertainment and kids’ activities. If you haven’t visited our festival in the past or it’s been awhile, this is the year to make your way to the Phelps Mill County Park just north of Underwood. You can fill your day with kids’ activities and art projects; listening to our top-notch entertainment, shopping a wide variety of artist booths; and eating any number of food booths.
Otter Tail County is celebrating 150 years in 2018 and as part of this celebration, Otter Tail County Historical Society will be giving tours all day Saturday of the historic Phelps Mill.
Paint in the Park with Art Bar 39. Visit Art Bar 39’s booth anytime during the festival and for a nominal fee, you can paint your own original work of art. All ages can come and be creative and no experience is needed!
The Festival features fine artist and crafters from around the USA. Each exhibitor is handpicked by a panel of jurors to ensure quality and originality for the show. From paintings and prints, to jewelry and apparel, to furniture and pottery, everyone will find something special to take home with them. For those that aren’t as interested in shopping, there’s still a lot going on!
Kids’ activities will be provided by Fergus Falls Bethlehem Lutheran Church. And for the whole family, find a place in the shade at the main stage and enjoy the entertainment, perfect for all ages.
Come Saturday to enjoy Jerry Frasier, Comic Magician performing at Noon and 2:45 p.m. Magical fun and laughs happen fast with Jerry. An experienced entertainer of over 20 years, this former East Coast educator has a distinctive voice and comic energy that truly brings audience participation to a new level. Also appearing on Saturday, at both 1:15 and 4:00 come be entertained by Billy D and the Crystals. They have been entertaining audiences for more than 40 years. They play a variety of music from the 50’s to current hits.
Sunday’s Community Service and music will be at 10:30 a.m. and provided by Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls. Performing at 12:45 on Sunday is Q5 Band. Performing for gatherings since 2007, The Q5 Band has entertained numerous crowds with their eclectic variety of musical selections from current rock, pop and country.
And don’t forget about the food! Phelps Mill Festival has several food vendors; fry bread, brats, pork chops, baked potatoes and root beer floats, just to name a few. Our food vendors are local non-profit groups working towards fundraising and making some delicious eats for everyone to enjoy.
